To the SL Community,
I’ve spent most of my adult life surrounded by beauty—on set, in front of the lens, chasing down solutions to calm my skin after long shoots, weird and wonderful treatments – you name it. And while I loved the ritual of it all, the idea of “luxury skincare” always felt a bit... off. Glossy but inaccessible. Expensive for the sake of it. More about status than substance.
Strange Luxury was born from wanting something better—for myself and for the next generation of luxury skincare lovers. People who care deeply about quality and experience, but who don’t believe you should have to drop half your rent for a face cream.
We’re about skincare that actually works—smart formulations, beautiful textures, no unnecessary fluff. It’s grounded in science, made consciously, and designed to feel like a little luxury you can actually live with.
But this isn’t just about skincare. It’s about building a space where beauty fits into real life—we’re building a tight community and cultivating conversation. We’re into the small things that make you feel like yourself again: your favourite playlist on a Tuesday, a dinner that turns into something more, skincare that feels like a reset button.

At the core of Strange Luxury’s formulations is SL8™—our proprietary complex of eight active ingredients, featuring six Australian native botanicals, antioxidant-rich purslane, and restorative panthenol. This intelligent blend delivers a synergistic dose of antioxidants, emollients, and humectants to hydrate, soothe, and visibly rejuvenate the skin.
Formulated to support optimal skin function and resilience, SL8™ is carefully calibrated for all skin types—including the most sensitive. Kakadu Plum
An Australian native and the world’s highest source of Vitamin C. Promotes elasticity for a luminous glow.
Illawarra Plum
High in antioxidants to guard the skin against external free radical damage, which causes premature ageing.
Burdekin Plum
An Australian superfruit filled with nutrients, antioxidants, and vitamins for a healthy skin barrier.
Muntries
Also known as emu berries, high in natural wax content to nourish, brighten and prevent moisture loss.
Pepperberry
A soothing fruit extract, known to reduce the appearance of dark circles and calm sensitivity.
Ripeberry
Potent in Vitamin C and packed with antioxidants to brighten and keep your skin plump and firm.
Panthenol
You might know it as Vitamin B, panthenol deeply hydrates and provides comfort for easily irritated skin.
Purslane
The sensitive skin saviour. High in vitamins A, C, and E to protect, calm and restore the skin’s surface.
